I swear, I just don't know about sheep sometimes. I came out to find the young ram upside down in a feed tub, fine except he couldn't figure out how to get himself out, with the other sheep poking him with their noses wondering what was wrong with him ( or if there was food under him). He hadn't been like that more than 5 min, but jeez. No idea how he managed to that.
The other pic is of the sheltie races out in the clearing before grading and all - a sloppy, wet muddy furrowed mess that the shelties had no problem navigating at high rates of speed. One way to tell a good sheltie coat? How fast does the dog clean itself up after such an adventure - a good coat just drops the mud off as it dries, and is easy enough to brush out and it never even comes close to the skin. Even when the pups were playing dead and buried Kestrel never stayed dirty longer than about 20 min. That's Kestrel, Pow and Brick in the photo.
