Turkey Time! And trial results

I just drove down from VA ( Berryville site) from a one day PT/HT test. We did ok - Patsy and Seamus the Kerry Blues and Yoshi the GSD went. Patsy Q'd, as did Yoshi, but Seamus and their Mikey clone, Malcolm, were saying bad things about each other's mothers, and the end result was Seamus releasing straight into a grip and not letting go. He got thank you'd. Ah well. 2 out of 3 ain't bad, right?

So I get home, and talk to Marq online, to find that the PO hadn't called him about the turkeys, since the turkey hatchery hadn't put the right phone number down. However, our rural delivery guy called Kathy, who then managed to get them herself, and she and Joy watched over them carefully until I got home this afternoon. Joy aparently tried to convince Kathy to let them out to play, but Kathy knew better! So after I haul ass down to the PO, find out that Kathy has them, drive back home and go to her place, and get the box of shrieking little fluffballs, the 15 little ones are now snug in their new temporary home. With Brick, hovering. The dogs seem to have generalized the calls for poultry, so the "Somethings bothering me, help!" and the "Hey guys??" calls alert him and he looks in on them.

They are all heritage breeds, an assortment, with 2 blacks, 3 red/browns that might be bourbons, 2 wild type looking, 2 dilute wild type looking, 3-4 blue and white. They should be ready for Thanksgiving and the holidays, if you are interested in home grown this year. Of course, this is our first foray into turkey babies, so that's if they survive our care first time around!
