I was worried - I've never shipped one of my dogs before, Dawn hasn't seen Kess since she came to live with me at 6mo, and I had worries I'd screwed up her training, or something or Dawn wouldn't like her temperament or something. Worried that Kess would be bothered by the airplane/airport stuff.
What was I thinking? I was given a sound dog, and trained her right. She was playing tug with me in the cargo office on my end, loaded right up in the crate on the scale in the warehouse, greeted and got petted by the guy taking her to her plane. She was close to the same when she got off the plane in AZ. Dawn was delighted with her - and apparently this am she's running around with her beau, flirting up a storm, and staring at Dawn eating crackers. Wish us luck!
