We said goodbye to First Lights Comic Relief PT at 14.5yrs on Sunday. She had amazing heart, and I'm so glad that Dawn let her come live with us. While I never got a litter from her and Pow, I had that litter in my imagination. She was buried where she could continue to heckle my ducks.

Welcome to Claire Apple and the Golem Kennels Crew!

Here you will find information on our working Shetland Sheepdogs, upcoming litters, and recent accomplishments. We are located in rural Pittsboro, NC where the shelties can do what they were bred to do: not agility, not competition obedience, not cute couchsitting ( although they do those things too) - but honest stock and guard work with their flocks of chickens, ducks, sheep, goats, and guineas. All my dogs MUST WORK STOCK. I don't manage my livestock with feed, I manage it with Shelties. There is no backup Border Collie here - there's no need.
All my dogs work with me in public at my obedience classes at Petco and private clients, and are a joy to have out and about when we go into town.
