Brick finished his HXAs title! We then improved the next day and placed third in a class of very nice dogs, we were in good company with some very nice working border collies. Now just need a leg in HXAc and we are done with A course.
His son Malcolm got his PT in a very bored run - after working 100 sheep at a friend's place earlier in the week, 3 sheep was just ho hum. Nothing much for him to do.
The Naughty Natti : Dana's Bonceur's Naughty Suprise, a young terv girl, did well with me finishing her PT.
For my clients: Renee q'd in HSAs with her BC, as did Dennis with his rough collie Casey, and Traci in PT and her very very happy to be there GSMD Souille. Aimee's Kieran almoooooost q'd in HSAs but was a bit worried about mom and wouldn't help me at the repen. Poor guy, multitasking is a hard thing.
Collie Rescue of the Carolinas Fundraiser AHBA trial:
Blue got a championship point towards his HtCH, making 5 left to go on his HTADIIId run.
Kathy and co's smooth collie boy Armani got 2nd place in HTADIs, with my client Dennis and his rough Casey getting 1st. Here is Armani doing his hold, obviously the sheep are comfortable with him!
Natti the terv also q'd in HTADIs, her very first trial run. She did a great job as a young dog and had a good time the whole way around. That's the important thing for her and Miles, have a good time. Their first sets of trials set the mood for the rest of their competitive life, and you want it to be a great experience, rather than worrying about how pretty it is. The sheep ran from the pan just before I sent, and she doesn't have the experience to know that's no big deal, so that's the reason for the messy gather initially.
I also finished Caroline's English Shepherd Buddy in HTADIs and she herself finished her ES Lady's JHD! And meanwhile, Greta, a client I share with Dee Penatzer, finished her WTCH on her aussie, Bezl down in GA. So very proud of the team they are becoming and how they are doing on their ducks lately.
