Prepped and prepped and then Marq and I did 3 hour shifts to keep knocking snow off the livestock canopies and check on the new twin ram lambs. Good thing I did. While most of my canopies are arched 16' livestock panels that are hard to beat if the arch is correct, the ewes and lambs are in a carport canopy, and that doesn't shed snow the way the arches do. All good though, but I might have woken the neighbors bashing the tarps from the inside with a sponge mop. Does the job well. I hear that some farmers with high tunnels lost some last night, and struggled to save the rest.
We don't get a day off.
