Top one is Albert, the working steer, with his new Swiss cow bell ( yes, brought by a client just for him from her vacation!) and Pow, bottom is Brick doing our "waste not, want not" policy on downed poultry - this guinea had been hit by a car on the road, so Brick got to have it. The dogs being allowed to eat dead poultry does not affect their guardian or herding abilities - they will not kill poultry to eat, and they won't eat any dead poultry without permission. You have to pick it up and hand it to them under command.
