What you see is the side of Jack's head, and Salvador with a mouse he caught somewhere in the house. Note the completely dilated pupils, hunched back, and direct stare. Sal's guarding this prey item with body posture and power worthy of the worst resource guarder, from Jack. What you can't experience is the low and very loud constant growl coming from Sal, especially anytime any dog or human makes eye contact with him or his prey. He's very very loud, and will actually muzzle punch a dog to guard his prize.
